okay, I’m getting nowhere. hmm. I guess, I kinda dread invest/farewell, erghh.

Adidas Sundown

Hey peeps!

This post very relevant to those taking part in 42km! for those in 10km,might be useful as well.and for those interested in long term running or long term health&fitness.

Firstly, do get your running tights soon.QA,TB,LF has gotten theirs for an average price of $45 each.its a fair price to prevent abrasion. If you think its not worth for a one-time-use, then use it more la! or risk suffering abrasion at your thighs or around your balls (for guys) (OUCH!). I think its quite a cheap price for very slight compression tights. you don’t need compression tights like the pros or track team wears, those cost $120+ and not really for us since we’re not going competitive/pro. Buy a size smaller than your normal, after all, its meant to be tight. (tights what…DUH)

Secondly, train for it! Whoever thinks going into this without prior training is kinda crazy/ you may survive it, but its gonna suck big time. May be the worst 4-5hours of your life. Join TB’s training plan of 20km on weekends. Its good to get, not only our stamina, but also our legs, bones, and joints used to the distance. Yes, you don’t want to be limping for the last half of the marathon. Don’t be daunted just because its TB’s training plan. The plan is meant for us ODAC-ers who want to do the 42km. And we’ll be doing it together. Ofcourse TB will slow down for us la, he won’t kill us all by going so fast. ANyway, even if he does, we don’t have to follow his pace mah.

Thirdly, some other advice given is to use nipple plaster to prevent nipple abrasion. Yes, sounds weird but it can happen and its best to prevent it. Energy gel, once per hour is good and in leter parts maybe once per half hour.

So, I hope you guys take preparations for the marathon seriously. After all, its your own body and health that you should be taking after. I strongly urge you all to buy the tights and do the training. Shall not say more, its your ultimately up to you. Anyway, all the best to all of us in completing the marathon!

It is simple…but it is not easy

HEY TWENTY-FIFTHS!!

Guess who, guess who! :D

Not fun! It’s quite obvious who I am right? ‘Cause no one else bothers to blog here.. Anyways, DARE2 just ended today; marking the end of our mental marathon. B2B to OLC1 to OLC2 to DARE2. I just want to say: Great job to EVERYONE for EVERYTHING that you have done. I know there have been screw ups here and there for all the events that have passed but it’s okay, as long as we learn from it, yeah? Screw ups are there for a reason, that is to let us learn from them and not let them happen again. So for me, I don’t really care if things screw up as long as we can get something out of them at the end of the day. And for things that have gone the way they should, that is just AWESOME! I’m can safely say that I think that we have grown quite a lot just this year. Learned to cope with things better, handle situations well and stuff. Great job guys!

Next up, choosing the next batch of ODAC Instructors! Got to think through it carefully and make the right choice yeah! And once we’re done with that, we’ll have our Tea Party, then Initiation, then Investiture and lastly Farewell. And before you know it, we would have already passed over and will be busy studying for Alevels; we’ll barely have time for proper ODAC activities. So do treasure the little time we have left together in VJ, but fret not, I’m sure we’ll have much more time to spend with each other in our life.

For now, I think everyone deserves a nice rest so do take the Sunday off to relax and take your mind off any distractions and have some quiet time for yourself. I always believe that everyone should once in a while, take some time off to have some personal time when you can just sit and think about all the things that have happened, will happened, your thoughts and feelings. It really helps to clear your mind. Serious.

<edited> PS: People who took pictures during B2B, OLC, DARE etc, please do upload them onto the photobucket account for the viewing pleasure of others. Thanks. </edited>

Everything’s going to be over soon, and I’m already starting to miss it.

Qn: What did Pink Panther do when he chanced upon a dead blog on the Internet?

Ans: He went “Dead blog, dead blog, dead blog, dead blog, dead blog, dead blog, dead blog”. And then attempts to revive it! =)

HEY PEOPLE!

B2B is in ONE DAY’S TIME! I am actually pretty excited for it, though secretly I can’t wait for OLC (Yeah yeah, sadistic.) Now it’s no longer a secret, open already. Go people! We will all do our best for B2B!! Shall make the campers have fun, and then cheat their feelings when they sign up for OLC. Hehs. It is alright if we screw up a little here and there. Then we will all be able to learn from it and better prepare ourselves for OLC! JIAYOU DIs! JIAYOU EVERYBODY!~

I know everyone’s stressed up over school work + B2B + DARE2 + OLC etc. HANG IN THERE PEOPLE!

PS: Don’t you guys find that our blog and loggie are getting a little deaddd?

Pre-ITC

WAVES-

How was Pre-ITC Training today? I thought the first part of tent-pitching session was quite fun because I discovered parts of ECP which I have never seen before, like “The Nearest End” and the “Cast A Leg“. Group 2 was awesome ’cause we managed to push on despite having sickly people. Yes, Syikin? And we modified the OLC Song to suit our ITC. It goes like this:

ITC 2008

Where I spend my holiday in

Only ICs and buddies

There are no chiobus to see

There are no yan daos to see

Only ICs and buddies

Where I spend my holiday in

ITC 2008

We all hope to be stronger

Wo men yong yuan bu fang qi

Even if we buay tahan

We will still zai jie zai li

All our hardships and our sufferings

Are all normal to me

So come on everybody

We are ODAC 25th

(Is the Chinese spelling correct? Haha paiseh lah I stopped learning Chinese 1 year ago.)

Job well done to everyone, and especially to the I/Cs! We have survived PRE-itc, so we’ll be able to pull through ITC itself and we’ll do it as a batch! I won’t be seeing you guys tomorrow so the next time I’ll see you people will be on the morning of ITC itself! So take care you sick people and everyone, drink lots of water and fruits (Vitamin C helps build up your immunity).

EYE TEE SEA in 2 days time!

PS: You’ve gotten your ponchos so go practise your hornet attack drill =)
